About Us
New Earth Farm was started by “Farmer John” Wilson in 1995 in Virginia Beach, VA. We grow and provide all natural chemical-free produce and products for the health of you and the environment! We sell our products on the farm, through our CSA, at local retail stores and restaurants, local farmers markets and online!
New Earth Farm is situated on 21 acres in southern Virginia Beach! To learn more about our CSA, volunteer opportunities, our educational farm and much more please browse through our site!
Even though we have been following and using “organic” practices for over 15 years, we are currently in the final stages of preparing and applying for USDA Certified Organic status for the whole of our new farmland. We will be sharing our experiences through our Facebook page, blog posts, photos and videos so stay tuned and check back frequently!
Our all natural VB Grown products can be found at Fruitive, Whole Foods Market, Virginia Garden Organic Grocery, The Heritage Market, Old Beach Farmers Market at Croc’s, West Side Produce and Provisions, Five Points Farmers Market and on the farm Saturdays from 10 - 5.

Welcome to New Earth Farm!
Born in Indiana, “Farmer John” Wilson has been active in organic farming and sustainable practices for nearly thirty years. In the late 1970's and early 80's Farmer John took intensive classes in building energy efficient structures, solar energy, organic farming methods and composting. He moved to Virginia Beach in 1979. John started his own composting business New Earth Compost when he moved to a five acre farm in Virginia Beach in 1995. New Earth Farm produces vegetables, fruits and pasture-raised eggs using organic methods. His produce is sold locally at Virginia Garden at the Virginia Beach Farmer's Market, the Five Points Farmer's Market, and The Heritage Store. John has been a long standing member of the Virginia Association for Biological Farming and has worked on numerous community and school projects as well as spoken at numerous local events in regards to organic farming and sustainability.
